It's dividend month for the Bank shares - February

• Sampath Bank in 2011 offered scrip dividends worth about Rs.15/- per share and in 2010 offered Rs.6/25 cash dividend in the month of February

• PABC bank already announced Rs.1/- share cash dividend XD 30th March 2012

• NTB announced Rs.2/- share in Feb. 2011, and 2010 and 2009 it offered Rs.1/50 per share.

• HNB announced Rs.5/50 in Feb. 2011.

• SEYB announced Rs.1/- dividend in February 2011 and in 2010 gaveRs.0/50 and in 2008 Rs.1/50. In 2009 it didn’t announce dividends as bank was in a crisis.

• COMB announced Rs.2/- share final dividend in 2011 January in addition to two scrip dividends during 2011. For the current financial year COMB already paid two interim cash dividends amounting to Rs.2/50 per share and the final dividend is pending.

• NDB already paid an interim dividend in December 2011, final dividend is normally announced in March.

• DFCC bank normally announce dividends in March as year ends in march. Last year they paid Rs.10/- in two installments during March and May 2011. But this year we can’t expect that much.

But COMB gives it a spread manner ,through out the year benefiting investors and maintaining it price with minimum fluctuations.
other than COMB all the other banks non voting shares are attractive compared to voting shares.(price gap is very high and dividend yield is also high).
Since all the banks end their financial year on 31 December ,they declare dividend in February and most of the time XD is 31 March.So February brings good news.

I have COMB shares in my Pf. I already received dividends in last year and I expect to receive 2012 dividends also. I try to keep this till as long as possible. Very Happy
