clear indication of this run being a 'bull trap' arising.

If so index will go below 5450 and then will bounce back. but will surely take quite a long time than it did this time.

bull trap definition: A false signal indicating that a declining trend in a stock or index has reversed and is heading upwards when, in fact, the security will continue to decline.

may be you didn't notice it vice versa.

SLTL contributed a lot to the index when the market moved up.

This run gave many a chance to exit.

let's wait and see.

sometimes those who did exit could end up on the winning side.

when ASI fell upto 5859, market turned green one day and ended up at 5942. then started falling again.

now it did go up close to 5850 & started falling again indicating that this could be a 'Bull Trap'.

when it is a bull trap market usually reach it's previous turning point & starts falling back.

correct. on Friday I think it went up to 49.8 or something like that. then no complains. Even today enough time to exit with profits.

foreign outflow on friday & monday together being about 500mn makes market quite unstable. Plus Average weekly prime lending rates still on the rise, market may move further down.

If this trend continues, ASI will reach up to 5850 - 5910 level at the beginning of February when analyze it technically.

However, selling should take place after buying as the usual process in all share exchanges in all countries. Small and medium upwards and downwards of ASI will be able to seen on upcoming days according to this. Money has come to the market by heavy foreign purchasing and they may go out as well because of heavy selling. Our main investors and players should take suitable actions to keep cash in the market anyway. Many normal investors have left the market because of the heavy fall which was going on along on past few weeks. CSE should do something to invite them again to invest. CSE held so many seminars island wide to attract people to invest in share market. They have ability to do a such thing to attract those people again with positive dimension. Market situation such as economical and financial information, growth, performance should be broadcasted on local medias as well as online medias to express the message of this positive trend to domestic people and foreign people to set their minds to invest.

Increasing the number of "WISE" investors will help to keep the market strong and green because of the qualities and thoughts such as positive expectations, great confidence, powerful investments etc. are increased up with this.

A share market is not an automated system of doing trades and investments. It is a place which provides facilities and allows people to do such things as they own. Actually it is driven by people and they are the main factors. Rising the power of these factors equals to the rising the power of stocks and stock market.

Reactions among 2 or more elements make a compound and characteristics of that elements can be seen in that compound as least nominally.

This is relevant to the share market also.

Smile

thank you!! i'll take it as a compliment.

as per what i think even if the market moves up it cannot sustain it's position above 5940. probably will start declining at 5940 or it may have already started.

probably the bears will outrun the bulls
