well i not sure about the info you needed, but for the purchase and sales done on the 05th relevant rate will be only 1.15% and not 2.24%

reez, your question is not very clear. I will try to answer the way I have understood your question.
Transaction levy (Broker commission & fess) will be calculated the way Gaja and sriranga has pointed out.
If you were referring to pricing method, price is determined by you when you place the sell order and it will be issued (sold) from the available stock, in-material of FIFO or LIFO or Average.

When you keep on accumulating a specific stock at different price levels, in the portfolio it will show you the average price for your information.

There is no FIFO or LIFO but Average; may be weighted average if you like to call it that way; it actually is Volume Weighed Average. (It is not FILO but LIFO: Last-In-First-Out)

Buy 100 @ 1/- is 100
Buy 100 @ 5/- is 500

So, now you have 200 at a cost of 600/-
That is, 200 @ 3/-

When you sell 100 @ 5/- for 500/-, you are making a profit of 200/-.

Cost of your remaining 100 shares is 300/-

To make a profit on that, you have to sell it for more than 300/-.

Clear?

Taxes, brokerage, CDS & SEC fees, etc. was ignored in this calculation.

But if you want, you can treat them as FIFO or LIFO and there is no harm as long as you are feeling good about it. Normally the brokers show Average Prices.
