If we are to name a Brand developed by sri lanka.
(1) Which has a good popularity in overseas
(2) Good market share in other countries
(3) strong company structure and future potential growth.
(4) existence of the brand for last 5 years
(5) Advantage over competitors performance
(6) Unique features which are advantageous to our soil..

But I don't believe it is a strong brand.

No. 1 is Dipped product
They export over 50 countries and hold 5% of global market share.
Also the 5th largest glove manufacture in the world.

No. 2 is Ceylon Tea
CTBL exports to over 20 countries(and many more in-directly)
Global market share is just below 10%

No. 3 I believe is Maliban
Exports to over 20 countries, but the global market share is negligible.
Consumed mostly by Sri Lankan expats.

Believe Dilmah is the best brand name we ever produced.

However both Brandix & MAS holding also do the same in Garment sector but I dont think they have their own (popular) brands though.

Sri Lankan airline could also be a good contender

Forgot to mention about the LoadStar in the previous post.
Load Star is the largest solid tire manufacture in the world.
Exports to over 60 countries.

Brandix & MAS holdings are the suppliers. They don't have their own brands.
But they are manufacturing for world recognized brands such as Marks and Spencer, GAP, Nike, MANGO, etc.

Sri Lankan Airlines is not a strong International brand. It famous only among Sri Lankans living abroad.

I do not think that we have any successful Brand created yet. We have a very well know brand name called "Ceylon Tea" but none wants to capitalized on this. Instead other countries are now using this Brand name to push their inferior products.

Dilmah , Odel , Dankotuwa ,Maliban, Damro are good brands.

Undisputed leader may be Dilmah.In Australia alone they sell their products to a price which is almost double of its competitors price.
But still consumers are attracted to this popular brand due to its valuable brand name and quality.
Among world's largest and good quality tea producing countries ,Sri Lanka is No 1.
I think Dilmah has been highly benefited by this.

Product wise-Cinnamon
BUT WE ARE THE UNDISPUTED NO 1 CINNAMON PRODUCER IN THE WORLD.
We produce WORLD'S best Cinnamon
We have a good market share -80% OF THE WORLD SUPPLY IS DONE BY US.
But no one has developed a good brand name.?????????.

Country Wise.
Most Diversified , Rich in Culture , Different climates , Ancient historical places .....etc.
Ideal for tourism
So what Else????
