If not remove this new systems right now better to exit from the market

Right now exit from the market if not remove the new systems no more future for colombo stock market.SEC and CSE introduce this useless new systems market negative move continue....in this new systems we can buy our own shares also this is another funny joke.
Now i am ready for exit from the market.

Gainer, apprently they had a meeting last week to identify issues and hopefully fix them. Do not take drastic action over issues that might solve with time. All of us withdraw what happens to market. Do we want to kill it on these short term issues? Currently there is also resistance to this system from brokers ( due to reasons of their own benefit). There are software issues from user side and not ATS7 side. Heard DFN is putting an new version out. Give it chance. Let not panic.

It is disappointing to see how some of the people are commenting baselessly on the new system, which I believe the typical south asian mentality anyways..

Odd lot issue and being able to buy own shares of course decided by CSE and you should be really stupid to blame on the new system for all that.

Knowing the facts, the only issue I see in the new system is some disconnections faced by the ATS traders which will be sorted out next week according to what I heard.

7th of march they are releasing the new DFN

But sad news, Min fill option is unable to fulfill our main requirement. Please refer to the post about min fill option for further information.

Right through my directFin did not facilitate odd stock order facility. Could not download history. Now another issue- minimum fill.

Hw is new system relating to company result and performance.... cos system only facilitate for trade..

1. you know about our market? how many companies control the ASI? what is the free float of many companies? how much liquid?

ex-ok im a foreigner,i going to invest 10Bn in a company which im desire,can i buy share worth of 10Bn from market? if i bought who will buy from me ? i mean "can i sell quickly" ?

so is it good to introduce odd lots to our market,bcoz of illiquidity share can push easily..

*please tell me are you a person who wants to buy one share from each company for other reasons?

2.ok odd lot and buying own shares are decided by CSE,
tell me how you know that we can buy own shares?
can you name the advantages of consolidating odd lots with normal board?

From a reliable source I got to know that all these problems with odd lot trading and we're being unable to enter a min fill qty is due to incompatibility of the software we use, namely; DFN, CDAX, ATRAD,etc..

All these software have been designed to work with the earlier stock exchange system and once the new system introduces, all these changes to be implemented in these software as well. We're typical SLs, these companies wont release the new versions even after weeks passed..

So its the software not ATS7.. ATS7 seems to be the same used in London Stock Exchange, the difference their being ultra faster is they use sophisticated hardware where as ours still.. hmmm....

Therefore; its worthwhile to check whether software upgrades are released or not..

CDAX released 6.5 new version. DirectFin is yet to issue one.

mid this week their will be a new DFN version available, lets hope all the errors are fixed in that one

SEC and CSE should have communicated with the relevant authorities of those institutions to ensure smooth transformation of the system in order to prevent any harm to the online users. Now it looks like that they have not done so. This is the way they handle matters. We have repeatedly complained about poor management of those organizations. But some ppl still say they are not wrong and retailers are responsible themselves for all these issues.
At least they could have obtained services from some outside experts to handle this change to avoid problems to the users.
How can we expect that when SEC is operating without a DG for forth consecutive month?

Its like this

Trading software's are developed by different companies and the ATS by another, i dont think Trading software developers had anytime to test their builds with the new ATS so when the ATS 7 was released non of the trading software's functioned properly, CDAX was the only software planed to release a new build to support new ATS but it also failed, now these software developers are testing their new builds with the ATS7 and planing to release new versions soon, so the past week was a testing period for them, anyway new ATS functioning properly, pretty soon these errors will be fixed

What should have done was the ATS developers should have allow Trading software developers to test their new software's in the news ATS before releasing it, that way we could have done trading without any errors,

Anyway in the future their will be a trading software coming from the ATS developers, that way we can expect fast and smooth trading, but we never know when

ATS7 release and the software issues are very good example of poor communication between relevant people and this should not have happen in a exchange like this, very shameful

CSE and SEC need more experience and more education about the stock market then only they know how to handle the market now only they are taking experience we are lossing the money.

This is an issue with the Client software part of the System and the way how client software links and obtain the information from server software. When there is a Server software change then the Client software also have to be modified and Checked.

The issue here is that we were provided with old client software versions to use by our broker firms while the server software has been changed to a higher version.

This post is done to educate members only.

However, no solutions yet. What happened to the meeting held by SEC with broker firms. Sarath Rajapaksha has said problems are still there.

why CSE and SCE did not ask the brokers to update client software to suit the new system before implementing it ?
