With the introduction of ATS-7 system ,mainly Normal and odd lot trading systems have been amalgamated, lot of retailers are unwilling to do transactions .This does not apply for negotiated deals or crossings.

But reduced retail activity has created,

Speculative, Junk stocks to come down,
Market indexes more stable ,(During the day fluctuations are minimum)
Fundamentally sound stocks to hold or their prices move up.

Yes, Did you see a high turnover day in the recent past without crossings? As many guys say, confidence of investors and traders has lost. Reasons for it have been discussed several times at here. After settle down these issues market will become to its normal status. Ask from yourself do you whether pay unneeded much fees or stay away from the market. Your answer will be 2nd. That is the most of investors answer as well. Current small number of tradings are done by big players, new teen traders and urgent sellers. No anyone else.

If we see improved foreign and institutional participation in coming weeks , with the expected change in trading platform (with regard to ODD and NORMAL lots)in 1st of 2nd week of April , I expect the trend will be more friendly.
