Let's discuss what "IF" tomorrow is a panic selling day. Will it be good to collect tomorrow itself? or wait till Monday? If I remember correctly, the last massive slide lasted two days (14/15 of Feb I think) so I'm thinking of a strategy for tomorrow.

Thanks in advance for your comments Cool

Cheers!

Will the market go down below 3% tomorrow? There will be lot of panic selling as usual.

Why we need to expect panic?

I said "IF" Smile

I'm not saying it will be a panic selling day. But it's better to have a strategy if it goes that way.

Cheers!

If history repeats it self, it would be too easy. If market starts south again, I doubt it would only be for two days.

I will look how the day is progressing and decide, If I should Buy, Hold or Sell.

@Light: Thanks!

There could be a chain reaction which could lead to more and more panic selling. I hope that wouldn't happen - I've been buying some fundamental counters for the last couple of days. I didn't think this UNHRC issue would be that much of a big deal, but looking at the forum I see people are concerned about it scratch

Cheers!

No big fish will buy tomorrow and will wait till panic sellers push prices down. As soon as the expected level comes they will start buying. Don't be panic and sell. You will be sorry very soon.

I can see your greedy face. Ha Ha Ha...

My opinion is there won’t be long panic rally. There is a big cash rich fund in the market. Look at the way they have guarded some of the shares that they have large stakes during last few days.

I actually expected a big drop in last few days especially after India’s announcement. Which didn’t happen.

Remember next week is the year end.

@hariesha:

"Take what you can, give nothing back" - Jack Sparrow Wink

Seriously though, should I be sympathetic towards the market? I find it very funny when people say stuff like "let's not panic sell... let's work together and bring the market up... etc. etc." aren't we all here to make money at the expense of someone else anyway? Don't take me wrong, I'm not saying we should "manipulate" the market (up or down) - I'm saying we have to read the market sentiment whenever possible and make the best of it, isn't it? So, what's the point in "working together"? You'll be rewarded only if you can beat someone else at predicting the market better, am I wrong?

Cheers!

I am not 100% sure that I understood what you are saying, no I aware who is Jack Sparrow either.

Though I never mention "working together" in my above post or any other, When trading it's obviously at the expense of some body but that does not mean that he has to booked a loss, unless it's a pump and dump. All of our transactions are not 100% accurate either. I believe I am experiencing a decent year currently, as I do have a success rate of around 60%. There are enough opportunities in CSE for everybody. Last few days we had some opportunities. Tomorrow may be a very good opportunity. This is how I feel, but I may wrong.

Unfortunately none of us have the financial power the grab all the opportunities.

Market will give us opportunities. But I don't believe that we should carve out opportunities. It's not ethical.
Should we use this forum to find baits? Lot of new comers are using this forum. They expect something.

It's a quote from the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean".

Anyway, I'm not accusing of you saying "working together" and I'm not encouraging manipulation (i.e. carving out opportunities) either. But I strongly believe that if there are winners, there have to be loosers too.

If this forum offers a view of the investors in the market, I don't think it's wrong to use that information to our advantage. After all, reading market sentiment is one key for good returns.

Cheers!

It will NOT be a disaster.
Cash rich government funds will do every possible thing to control the market (artificially).
I cannt see any panic situation. ( I meant a market crash)

I agree!

nothing worried too much about market crash or panic sellers. in addition UN resolution doesn't affect the country immediately... just they offer some thing to do the government by force... thats it ... so enjoy the market...

UNHRC does not ask us to do something new. They asked to implement our own recommendations (LLRC). Nothing to worry! Don't waste your hard earn money by selling in vain

Anubis, sorry you are wrong in your assessment of the market. Some one does not have to loose for you to win if you are an investor looking at the business performance of the company you are buying. You are not betting on some ones else to loose but betting on the companies future growth. Let me give you an example , I collected CTC at 300-400 levels betting on the companies future growth the share went down and up during the period and sometimes it was a loss, but in the long run you know where it is at now.

@suja: I do agree with you up to some degree. However, keep in mind that CTC share (in your example) appreciated because other investors also bought its shares (since they also saw future growth), so ultimately it's someone else's money that is keeping this share up (which makes your investment profitable).

Investing (as opposed to trading) may be is more "civilized" since you are solely depending on company performance instead of "market sentiment" in order to make money. I'm practicing both of them, if I can read off the market sentiment better than others, I'd still try to make some money out of it. However, nobody can read the market sentiment 100% correctly - so, having some sort of an investment strategy is also important.

Cheers!
