I will try to read your min one more time. Are you talking about the usual small dip in Dec- January before a bull phase? Dude if this is not it it might be easier to tell what you are thinking before womeone dies of a suspense and a heart attack Razz

There was a well established theory called January effect. That said the return in January are higher than that of other months. In other words in December there is a downturn and in January market is up. There are several hypothesis why the January effect apprear, like tax loss selling hypothesis.

However, the January Effect like Size effect, has been disappeared after publishing them ((Moosa, 2007).
