Don’t fear a market crash. Embrace the opportunities. Time and time again, history has shown investors who buy when others are fearful,

Let see this time how it will work........

No amila, that's not a joke. That's a practical truth. But it's difficult to catch at the bottom because the bottom is unpredictable.

That is the problem. I thought that is the bottom at ASI 6500 and invested around 1 million. Then I thought that is bottom at ASI 5500 and I bought around 2 lack rupees share on credit. Now I have unrealised lost around 0.5 million. Currently my gut feeling is market will not recover for around 2 years.

It is better if that guess also be wrong and market would recover before that.

I don’t believe in crashes & this market behaviour is more or less an expected one.

There’s no rule says you need to buy shares soon after you sold some.

However 1st time in 2012, I bought two junk shares in considerable quantities.

Yes robo, bottom is the problem, anyone cant predict correctly. Anyway if we have some money, now time to play.

We have to buy good companies at good prices & see the market pattern.Always we should keep some extra money in hand to average the shares.(share price cant be go below 0 Smile

Amilea this is not a joke,This is a practical thing. But dont invest with margin. Also dont speculate on penny shares.

I'm not going to advice anybody, I'm not an expert, I wanted build a discussion on that , Actually if companies report good profits in future , market cannot sustain @ dis level ne ?, That is my argument. Actually is our country's economy such bad ?, I think these economic problems are not much big problems as we discussed, We can come out with this issues in future. I may be embarrassingly wrong because I have very little knowledge in economics, Please correct me if I wrong .

I agree!
Quite possibly, in the coming days, the market will decline further. Those of us who are still invested in equities will experience severe panic. Those who are weak-willed and do not have holding power will surrender and sell everything at a terrible loss - that is capitulation.

Investopedia explains 'Capitulation'
After capitulation selling, it is thought that there are great bargains to be had. The belief is that everyone who wants to get out of a stock, for any reason (including forced selling due to margin calls), has sold. The price should then, theoretically, reverse or bounce off the lows. In other words, some investors believe that true capitulation is the sign of a bottom.

Now is the time to to know who are the real experts; who are the smart traders.
I am planning to make May 10~20% overall profitable!!

Someone remind me to post the results at the end of the month.

(PS: I do not intend to say I am smart yet)

I think better to buy small quantity day by day... due the market flucation.. only thing you have to be a long term investor ..to hold your shares for some time and same time better go for the sound shares... See what forigners are buying ...getting good dividends...

SRIAS,

What is the charting software you use here?

Thanks in advance.

I request any technical analyst to interpret the data in SRIAS's charts.

The ASI has dropped below the lower Bollinger Band; that indicates a buying opportunity.

But the 20-DMA has dropped below the 50-DMA. That is a bearish signal, I think..?

PM it to you. Rolling Eyes
any market is a riskier place than a bank. Also you have to have a lot patient in a bearish market.
