Good news is that Chairman of NSB has resigned before he is removed by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Now what have Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) done about the manipulators, front runners and insider dealers of the The Finance (TFC) share transaction??

Looks like SEC commission is in the pocket of these manipulators!

Remember there was a chief security guard who covered up his wife beating his son's classmate by taking the victim to cells. Same thing which happen to those officials will happen to these officials. Promotions.
Don't worry these outrage will die down in a couple of months. Nobody will remember this happened.
Sri Lankans are ideal for pulling carts.

Resignation of the NSB chairman after huge cry out is welcome.

He should have been immediately sacked irrespective of social status as soon as
it is proved that he is guilty. He deserves to see himself that public slogans, placards against him.

Apparently people's voice on this filthy deal cannot be slowed down until wrongdoers are punished under the legislation.

I am sure SEC will take appropriate action against the wrongdoers. SEC cannot act arbitrarily and would have to go through the proper investigation procedure before any action is taken to avoid any potential counter action against the SEC.

Chairman of SEC in his recent statement had categorically mentioned and assured the investor public that action will be taken against the perpetrators and confidence of the stock market will be restored.

Yes.. we will hope for the best.. but the thing is all parties who investigate this issue (CSE,SEC, NSB and Ministry of Finance) ultimately report to the Gvt... I believe SEC will keep their heads up and will ensure the investors confidence and public interest...
