Hi guys,

So from my understanding the stock market is open monday to friday, from 9.30am to 4.30pm right?

Why is it that sometimes I check the CSE website and it says "Trade Cancellation", and "Market close" before 4.30pm like today?

Sorry if this sounds silly, im new to the market and trying to get my bearings. Sometimes it feels like the CSE just shuts down when it pleases Neutral

A market day consist of six scheduled sessions:

1. Pre-Trading (9 to 9.30)
2. Opening Auction Call (at 9.30)
3. Regular Trading (9.30 to 2.30)
4. Trade Cancellation - This is a time period allocated where brokers may request the exchange to cancel trades. (15 mins)
5. Closing Price Publication (Next 15 mins)
6. Post-Close (by 3 PM)
