Companies listed under the Investment Trust should trade based on it's investment portfolio regardless of it's EPS.
Ex: Based on Today's market price, value of investment portfolio of CIT is Rs 205/-.

This is for the original poster of this topic,

How did you calculate PE ratio for EXPO?

As of 4Q interim statement,
Annual EPS = Rs 0.54
Market Price = Rs 5.90
PE ratio = 5.90/0.54 = 10.94

I extract most of the figures from a research report of well known broking house. According to the report, accumulated profit of EXPO for last 4 qtr was 574.6 mn.
But your totally correct, the PER should change as 10.94. As a result, EXPO should be in PER>20times page anymore.
I really have a doubt, why these brokering houses misinterpret figures of some counters ?????

Thank you....

PER of BBH has calculated by using last 4 qtr profit excluding recently issued profit figure of the quarter ended 31/03/2012. So the calculation is correct in that way. But after adjusted the last quarter profit, the PER should reduced to 12.3 times.

I'm so great full for your fruitful comments.

Thank you
[I have corrected those errors]
