What is the exact reason for the sudden market up..? Is it due to Mr. Dhammika Perera's 50Mn investment..?

All the counters including fundamentally sound blue chips and retail favorites are in the bottom in prices. Some are trading more than 50% below the book value. When the market went up before this down turn daily turnover was in billions. In recent down period the daily turnover was very marginal. The reason for the downward trend as I believe is that mainly of over regulations and margin problem supported by uncertainty prevailed in domestic and International political and economical environment.
Now a conducive environment is immerging. Why should not go up the market?

I think if Greece matter is negative, price of oil will go down. We will have a positive impact. In our history, we were fighting with each other, so that it is a good time for westerners to fight with each other. We need to watch and play to get maximum advantage.

Think what is best for our county & do not think about the world.

All markets around the world had rallied on friday..... So its the overall sentiments that investors felt. CB would bring in stimulus to help ease negative outcome. Not only in srialnka CB's in BOJ, US, FED and BOE heads pledged to interfere if necessity arises. So these couple of days even bad news were seen as positives in the back of statements by bernanke,sir mervin king............... Very Happy

The rally should continue unless some one talks nonesense after Greece results... Very Happy

I dont think any big impact to CSE from G election results because CSE is a small market & not mainly driven by global issues. Other thing,Elections should not be viewed as votes on a single issue. Greece has not voted to reject the euro.

Sri Lanka Companies will have to learn to love the dollar than EURO.That s only.

I also feel that rally should continue.Wait & see...

That is the only worry I also have.But beyond our control. Investors should take care of themselves before investing in penny stocks.

According to a recent news item, Greece might have constitutional crisis after the election is over because the military government that was in power had replaced their constitution with a new one. The superior courts in Greece also had acknowledged the legality of the new constitution. Hence, there is a controvacy as to the poweres of the new President- whether under the formal constitution or the replaced one by the military. Therefore, the uncertainty over Greece will continue for some time.

Materialism & ambition go hand in hand in Greece. in short term it will not be out of jeopardy as long as super powers are maneuvering their interest under the table.
As said above, the psychology of investors is a valid point with an idea of both institutional & HNI intercession. Small profit makers are having the advantage of situation minimizing their previous losses. Any upward breakthrough in next week will give certain clues for the market direction.
