Jun 22, 2012 (LBT) - The 23rd annual Nexia International Asia Pacific Conference will take place in Colombo on 06 and 07 July under the theme “Strategies to prepare for the development in the Market”.

Chief Guest and Key Note Speaker at the opening ceremony on 06 July 2012 will be given by Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and a Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Ajith Nivard Cabraal. He will speak on “Economy and investment opportunities in Sri Lanka”.



Over a hundred delegates from nearly 15 countries such as Australia, China, Tahiti, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, the UK and USA will take part in this two-day conference. Nexia International is represented in Sri Lanka by B.R. de Silva and Co Chartered Accountants.

“We are delighted to play host to these two forthcoming conferences. They bring together nearly 100 of our members from different parts of the world and will facilitate healthy networking. At the same time, we will be able to showcase Sri Lanka not only as a destination for conferences of this nature but also the vibrant potential we have for BPO facilities”, said B.R. De Silva & Co’s senior partner, Nihal De Silva FCA, FCMA (UK).

Parallel to the main conference will be the Nexia Asia Pacific Young Leaders Conference 2012. This two-day conference will focus on learning and practicing ways to grow one’s management and leadership skills. It includes processes for developing better relationship management techniques with colleagues within one’s practice as well as with one’s clients.

De Silva & Co’s senior partner, Mr. Nihal De Silva is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CASL) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of UK (CIMA). He is a past president of the Sri Lanka division of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants as well as a former representative for the South Asia region at the CIMA UK council.
