CSE downfall is certainly due to many factors. in my view the main concern that struck us badly was our mishandled and imbalanced economy (BOP and deterioration of the rupee). even though most of us didn't saw this coming, people who got correct and inside information knew it, one good example was the selling spree of foreigners, they basically sold 22 billion in just 2 or 3 months and suddenly started collecting again. they knew this was coming.

manipulation and insider dealings occurring in the market was a Hugh blow to to CSE as well, due to this many innocent investors lost their hard earned money because of margin calls.

another reason maybe the political instability and human rights issue, our country continues to increase the corruption and bribery levels, these are led and done by politicians and the lack of democracy as shown by many many events ( ex - journalists go missing) diminished the investors confidence in the equity market and continue to do so.

these factors coming together in a short period of time basically dragged down the ASPI, now that the CB has taken the rights step we can be bit more optimistic than we were before about our economy but regulatory side still in my view is weak and need to tighten before another blow affects the market.

SEC must tighten the regulation and take corrective action to curb the unethical things happening in the market. As you said it will drag down the market for a week or two due that will be mainly due to big manipulators exiting the market. but the CSE will have more stability thereafter. im quite sure that sudden downturns wont be there and innocent investors wont be loosing there money the way they did in the past. this is just my view, we have nothing to loose now.

more regulation should come in to action ASAP & it will benefits the ppl in the long run .. now the CSE crows have a nice background than before things are nt tighten at all.. we dnt need something temporary everyday & make CSE a better place for gamblers..
