It is a brilliant invest to someone outside Sri Lanka at the time... For me it is apart of my body looking for being Port Hub in South Asia.....In my believe port is just not a handling containers,renewing status of highest teus handling per annum.
Oil refinery is a business have to go with port like her twine sister...it have to have Sri Lankan own business at any given time.
No need to give her every thing to her big brother (as Indian and our politicians think)
Sri Lanka have to be dominate as a future king in the Indian ocean

If any devil come here and decided to build an oil refinary thats a great thing. That s how Singapore became One of the largest petrolium supplier to the world without even having a single oil well.. Sri Lanka could built only one refinary for the entire 2500 years of civiluzation and it s a great moment if we get the second one.

Agree with you. These projects may/may not have any hidden agendas but......beggar can't be chooser.

ලංකා ඉන්දීය තෙල් සමාගම විසින් ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් බිලියන 3.6 ක වියදමකින් මෙරට පිරිපහදුවක් ඉදිකිරිමට සැලසුම් කර ඇතැයි මාධ්‍ය වාර්තා මගින් දියත් කරමින් සිටින ප්‍රචාරය සම්පූර්ණ අසත්‍යයක් බව ඛනිජ තෙල් කර්මාන්ත අමාත්‍යාංශය පවසයි.

එමෙන්ම එම ප්‍රචාරයට අදාළ කරුණ ඛනිජ තෙල් කර්මාන්ත අමාත්‍යාංශය විසින් සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කර තිබේ.

පෞද්ගලික කිසිදු ආයතනයක් හෝ සමාගමක් යටතේ මෙරට පිරිපහදුවක් ඉදිකිරීම සඳහා ඛනිජ තෙල් කර්මාන්ත අමාත්‍යාංශය කිසිදු පියවරක් ගෙන නොමැති බව ද අමාත්‍යාංශය වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කරයි.

Unless for any hidden politics, I see no reason why we should not take this up. It is good for Sri Lankas future too, Think what if cairns find commercial oil and we also start producing oil in Sri Lanka. I
