Indeed, he practices what he preaches – During the 2000 tech stock bull run, he refused to buy technology stocks because he did not understand technology (he didn’t even have a computer in his office!). Many investors felt that he was missing out a great deal of profits from tech stocks. Even his close friend, Bill Gates, could not convince him to invest in Microsoft. However, Buffett had the last laugh when the tech bubble burst.
