something is better than nothing..

FLCH is mostly into plantations, may be abt 98% and its good if they've done well in bad CSE timing.

Me too very happy though its a very small amount... I'm keeping a very small quantity as a long term investment to see if it will be listed in the main board soon... Very Happy

FLCH was at 1.90 when ASI was at 5400 levels and now its 2.10 when ASI is at 4800 - 4900 levels... Share is holding dispite the turbulance in the market...

I agree with you & most big guys are not ethical at all.
Below 2 there were 80m shares traded & it went down to 1.30. person who collected 1.30-2 will have a good profit by exit above 2 & Dividend might be a carrot.
I just provided additional point to consider & I don't know what exactly will happen next.

We got a very dry year this time after a decade of wet and moderate years.

After this extreme, naturally we will get wet years in consequent years.

Based on this assumption and with US$ is @ around 133 ,

I hope we can get better dividends in future.
2012 - 0.05
2013 0.10
2014 0.20
2015 - 0.25 - 0.30

my anticipating EPS for FLCH

2013 - 0.30
2014 - 0.40 - 0.45
2015 - 0.60

Weak Tea and rubber prices hit FLCH profit. Also the wage issue. Yet they have declared 100% dividend. I also estimate 2013 EPS to be Rs 0.25 -0.30. Not sure how the $$ effect is. Also there could be a Timber stock revaluation again. If both are positive FLCH and share holder might see a happy increase in NAV also.

A penny stock with a future with their expansions into other sectors ( Hydro pwoer, property , tourism ) It should lessen their dependency on plantations.

Further to the above , if Tea rubber prices increase then FLCH profits can be more. Am considering the present trend only.

Me too.

We cannot tell what will be the inflow from hydro power projects come in to production in the near future. I think moderate rain is the best for FLCH. If heavy & year spread rain CEB have their own places to generate. Heavy rain will affect tea plucking also.

BTW, they still have near 3/4 billion LKR in cash. I am happy if they divert from hotels and go for a solar power farm :-) my rough calc tell me they can earn 200 million per year if ECB give a rate as suggested for others at the moment.

This hotel thing is over blown by many groups. ALso the investment will be stuck for awhile.

But if I recall think they wanted to convert some of the estate bunglows to boutique like hotels was it? Might be quicker and not that costly compared ***** class.

They should start looking at quicker sustainabl revenue/profit. Their property development project also must be nearing gaining additional revenue.

Whether odd lot system or current system, sending a cheque for 5 cents is not going to change.
