TESS after stagnating around 2.20 started to move up with increasing volumes. Any particular reason ? senior members comments much appreciated.

Largest canned fish factory owned by Tess agro was opened at Peliyagoda yesterday by Hon minister Basil Rajapaksha. Factory has the capacity of producing 24,000 cans per day, which will be added to the revenue from next quarter.

The largest canned fish factory in Sri Lanka, TESS Mackerel Canned Fish of TESS Agro PLC, was opened at Peliyagoda yesterday by Basil Rajapaksa, Senior Adviser to the President and Minister of Economic Development. The TESS (Tropic Engineering Supplies & Services) Group is a diversified group of companies engaged in Engineering, Deep Sea Fishing and Export of Marine products from Sri Lanka.

Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development, H.N.O.P. Fernando, TESS Chairman, Shiran Fernando, TESS CEO/ Executive Director also participated.

Tess group was established in 1980 and it is the largest exporter of Tuna from Sri Lanka to the European Markets.

The Tess Group has established the fish Canning factory with the total investment of 170 milion.

The Canning factory capacity is 12,000 to 15,000 cans per shift of 8 hours. Hence production per Day is 24,000 cans.with the addition of retort, using the same line the capacity can doubled upto 48,000 cans per Day.
