These are unaudited accounts. I also saw its NAV as Rs:21.00 & EPS Rs:00.24 in their audited accounts received today in CD.

Okay the income for the year ended on march 31st is 0.24 according to them. YoY it is a drop from Rs 1.15 to 0.24.

There is something wrong with the NAV calculation in their annual report. Not sure how it is Rs 21. NAV should be around Rs 8,45. Are they taking the total shares on issue? But I need to double check again to mak sure I did not make a mistake.

Not possible.

To increase the NAV like this there should be notable indicators in other accounts.

In this kind of a rise, naturally we get info & hints about extraordinary success in its business , a big revaluation or a big boom in Stock market prices of its holdings.

As per un audited reports the NAVPS has gone down from 15/- to 8.40 within one year.

As far as I can remember CIFL came to the market when they were at the tip of brankrupcy.With IPO money they have postphoned that.

(Recently I did not check their financials)

I'd also hold my tongue on their credibility.

This is the NAV as per their latest financials;

Share holder's Funds = 704770486

No of shares as of 30/06/12 = 83426733

NAV = 704770486/ 83426733 = 8.447

Previously they had 19739424 ordinary shares. After a 5 to 11 subdivision and 40 Mil released for IPO, they get 83426733 shares.

So if they divide the 704770486 value by after sub division shares of 43426732.8, they get an NAV of 16.22..

So the NAV dilution mainly due to the above factors IMO..

They have staed 21. Not 8,5 or 16.22.
They should not be doing this if it is intentional.

That 21 figure on the AR could've been an error.. I cant find any calculation that match such criteria Wink

As I person who stuck on this, I don't recommend this as a better pick. Quick profit is O.K. but it's risky to hold for a long time. Its small share quantity can fluctuate its price from hell to heaven.
Current price level seems to be O.K. and it may generate chances for short capital gains "if " market continually rise up. I remind you again, don't buy to retain.

Experts and risk takers can try, others can keep away. If you can play right, you will be a winner. Otherwise you'll be a fool of yourself.

Happy Trading!
Knowledge and Experience will show you the correct way!
Rational intelligence will carry you through the way to end! (Just a thought to think far) Very Happy
