IPO price was 17.50. Private placement price 10.00. So can any initial shareholder sell with profits? The minimum price recorded was 5.00 wasn't it? So who could sell with a substantial profit?

I see something artificial here..

So do I.

Net assets 1.67billion. No of shares issued 161 million.

NAVPS Rs.11. Most in liquid form. (Invested in shares and FDs)

If CLND appreciated in due course NAVPS of CITK will rise more than this value.

DJ do not hold any shares .
30% is held by public including N.Perera and W.Karannagoda
REEF has 70%

NOTE:
I really do not know what is happening at the moment.
It can be both ways.
Desperate selling or a try to push the price down to collect.

We may get the picture cleared within few weeks.

This is just to note that CITK and CITW are in Diri Savi Board. No need to publish quarterly reports.
Next report is at end of September.

Good luck

CITW is a better option than CITK. CITK has 10% of CLND bought at 44 per share. No one (even people who put money to the IPO) will not sell without holding substantial profit. But they will curse DDJ for buying CLND.

But haven't they bought a big quantity in 20s. I remember in CITK prospectus it said avg price is 32.

Yes they bought in 2 chunks.. one in 20s and one in 44..

According to CITK annual reoprt, they are going to build the water villas first and lease them to potential buyers and then start the construction of the hotel. I think they are not going to dispose CLND shares soon, may be waiting for further capital appreciation and that is possible if future plans of the CLND are successful. On the other hand, what will happen to CITK if CLND announce q rights issue to fund their city hotels and other appartments.

Agreed.

At first, I also thought they bought CLND just to get a quick capital gain.

As per their prospectus , I re-glanced yesterday, now I find they have had plans to hold it over 7 years (2018). They are to get bank funding for the major part of the capital required for construction work. I think they believed the long term capital appreciation in CLND is bigger than bank interest.

You have a good point about a possible right issue.
BTW, D is in CLND board.

I think infrastructure in Kalpitiya is not still up to standard for tourism, Government also need to pump some money to develop infrastructure in the area in order to make these projects successful nad this will take some time. I think the said area is still a jungle. However the concept of water villa make me interest in CITK a bit. We know that Citrus Group Chairman Mr. Prema Cooray is a giant in tourism industry, he pioneered developing the uccessful concept when he was chairing Aitken Spence. Aitken Spence owned Addaran Water villas in Maldives built on the same concept. Now Adaran Villas has become a cash cow to AHUN and SPEN

http://www.adaaran.com/prestigevadoo/accommodation/sunrise-water-villas.html
http://www.adaaran.com/

I used to treat REEF as another rotten stock played by some newly entered gangsters to the CSE. but after your information and further analysis I found 3 more reasons to take a look at REEF group.
1- Involvement of Tourism legend Mr. Prema cooray as the chairman. We know what a difference can make by a single person of his caliber.
2- Other people involved in the group and their synergies with relevant industries and most importantly to the Ruling party.
3- Exposure of KDDP lead Vallibel group for these shares, over the last decade KDDP had a proven record, and he usually not get in to rottened deals.

What Do you think ?

And about CITK, for a moment I think nowt if any one interested in CLND, It's better to buy CITK around 6.00 at steep discount to it's NAV.
