With heavy rainfall across the country will benefit their plantation sector affected by severe drought last year and more importantly Hydro power plants .

Wouldn't heavy rainfall bad for rubber and tea plantations? Wink Earth slips, diseases, fungus, can't work, no rubber collection, no plucking. Wink

What I've heard is the rainfalls were below expected levels to fill the reservoirs.
Anyway it's difficult to say the long term state of the island-wide, by looking at Colombo getting flooded after few hours of rain.

Anyway it doesn't matter for CSE shares. People will make a reason after, why this that share is up or down.

I thought drought is even bad, This year not only in SL, but also in Kenya and India Tea out put dropped due to drought in those countries. Any tree or animal need reasonable amount of water to live, and I thought it is a basic fact. Smile

Hydro power generation by CEB has increased from 12 % last month to 18 % this month, and CEB sources say the rain fall has increased, (but not in all reservoirs).
