At the end of July ASI was around 4900 while SFS at that time was 6.00 per share. Today the ASI has gone up above 5900. Having the share index gone up by 1000, still the SFS is closing @ 5.90. Rolling Eyes

Sirigoona,
Have you looked at the financials of this company.

This is trading over 6 times Book Value and PE of 20.

Just to give you a comparative idea of better finance companies

CFIN Book value 1.4 PE about 6
LFIN Book value 2.0 PE about 5.5

SFS before the announcement of 1 to 20 share split run like crazy and also after the split.
I don;t know whether some will manipulate this , but it is one overvalued share in the market. So be careful.

ASI is calculated using the price fluctuations of all the shares traded. SFS is only one of them & its contribution is insignificunt. Certain shares contribute positively while some contribute negatively. If SFS is not moving with the ASI its contribution may be negative (Its a force pulling down the ASI.)

We most saw some selected shares in banking/fin going up. But not all shares. There are still some selected good shares that did not go up that much. these shares can gain interest individually or if there is a further overall run then SFS might get interest but how much more overvalued ( with present financials) can SFS get? So % wise SFS increases if any will not be as much as other undervalued counter if it moves according to value. If you are a value investor then SFS is not the way to go. i would not hold this in a correction or a downtrend. But if you are trader oh well you can play with it. We recently saw a counter trading at 188 PE and now even higher. So i guess anything is possible at CSE.
