Hi Guys...

Yes, most of our members burnt their fingers including me with SHL IPO.
It was my entry into the market. But I'm holding those shares even with a loss at the moment. And also I collected some last Friday & hope to continue monthly basis.

Though their current financials are nor that impressive, when you look at the diversification of the firm and the current price my thinking is,they should do well in the next 3 to 5 years.I'm collecting & holding them as a FD.

Do you senior members have different opinion or any other share in this price range for long term holding??? Share your views Pls....

SHL as far as the BV is ahead in it sector. If SHL can get their loans sorted out , it can be a force in the long term. They have lot of potential but right now they need to improve their profits.

What is long term. How long it long? If you are looking at 3-5 years I think they should do well. Right now , I see better companies earningwise.

I would pick RICH in its category right now due to higher dividend and low price and growth other prospects.

As SLstock mentioned RICH is a good option. Another one to look at would be PLC but its not diversified.

One company which may have potential to become a diversified company in the future is RCL. But not in your price range.

SHL has tooo much of gearing due to over diversification.

Yes they have 20B+ short & long term borrowings. Are they in a really bad position at the moment? And there's another thing in their annual report Chairman has stated that AAI is ready to be listed in the CSE. What does that mean?? AAI is already in the board.Is it as life & non life??

They ,might sell part of AAIC to reduce the loans.

Target SHL after the dividend. slowly collect. I'm in mid term. when i mentioned as mid term, don't get it wrong. mid term mean at least 3 years. This is only my opinion. Anyway i am collecting it. Smile
