I wanted to open an account for my wife & manage it online. My broker told me that she should invest at least 500K to get online facility even though I use it presently.

Kindly let me know which broker provides online trading facility regardless what amount we have invested in stock market. I remember someone told a thing like that, but I couldn't find that thread.

Capital alliance will give you this facility with even Rs.1 in your account.

When i first registered with asia securities i had 00.00 rs ..and i maintained the zero amount for almost a month..yet they gave me a online trading facility with Directfn pro account (now they do give directfn but n ot pro account)..on the first day after i got the cds account..

Use the contact details and contact them. Theres no point in finding online platform in the web site. They will give you a software called Direct FN to use as your trading platform.

really..Lanka Securities is very good..and they dont ask for minimum amount..

Bartleet Mallory Stock Brokers also provide online trading with out minimum portfolio restriction. But their system is very very slow. When you do a buy/sell, only around 8pm on that day your portfolio gets updated. However they indicate that your order has been filled. So you can do the selling afterwards....

But the minus is there is no way to look at technical indicators in their system....
