Much easier to spot the manipulations if you keep the CSE home page open on a browser tab. It shows the top contributors. Right now it's BUKI. It was BUKI going to 1400 at pre open that pushed the ASI + 1.08%

Traded volume is not part of the calculation. How it's calculated is explained here (towards the bottom): http://www.cse.lk/sectors/home.htm

Whenever a manipulator pushes up a large cap by a small percentage or pushes up a small cap by a large percentage (the WAPO effect) the index goes green.

Yes Tubal. I recall we had this discussion on ASPI calculation with another member in the forum. There was contradictory calculation on CSE.lk site. This shoudl clarify

Yes gems alright. MORI nav is arounf 1600 if I recall . Atleast that has some basis.

This is time to CSE authorities to intervene.
If people try to manipulate ASPI by buying 100 shares at higher price Authorities should re think to change the calculation.

But they are always sleeping and wake up only after an year :lol!:
