The group reported earnings of 4.49 rupees per share for the quarter. For the nine months to December the group had earnings of 10.64 rupees per share on total profits of 1.1 billion rupees, down 21 percent.
The stock traded at 100 rupees, up 1.80 Thursday.
In the December quarter finance expenses rose 113 percent to 158 million rupees.
The bottomline was helped by 144 million rupees in associate company profits.
Last year the state raised taxes on imported sanitaryware and also ceramics to give higher profits to domestic producers.
