Sri Lanka’s AgStar Fertilizers PLC has acquired a 51% stake of the Mahaweli Rice Processing Industries for a sum of Rs. 41.7 million.
A Stock market disclosure said, Agstar has purchased 4,170,000 shares of the Mahaweli Rice, which is engaged in processing and distribution of rice.
The rice processing firm which is located in the Sandunpura of Dehiattakandiya is a private limited liability company.
