Sri Lanka has started issuing three year tenor ‘Sri Lanka Development Bonds’ to raise US$ 50 million, at the rate of 6 month LIBOR for US$ + margin through competitive bidding.
The interest payment of this latest bond issue will be done semi-annually.
An investor will have to make a minimum investment of US$ 100,000 and in multiples of US$ 10,000.
Subscription list of this bond has been already opened and will end on the 19th of this month.
The date of settlement of the bond will be on the 27th March, 2013.
Foreign citizens and entities, non resident Sri Lankans, Sri Lankan dual citizens, authorized dealers, primary dealers etc. can subscribe for the bond.
The bond is exempted from income tax paid in Sri Lanka.
