Minimum Authorised Share Capital required for the listed Companies one million shares.whatever less than one million shares should be go for increase the shares capital by sub division of shares,this is the new rules.

exactly, i too have the same question.

Sub division only increases the number of shares, right issue would increase the stated capital.

The rule is for the companies which are seeking to list in CSE, they should meet a minimum specified stated capital.

There was no such rule in Sri Lanka. - As per the last amendment of listing rules on 13th Feb this year.

Minimum stated capital for Main board is Rs. 500 million, fro Diri Savi Board it is 100 million Rupees.

You are talking about the number of shares, not the capital. There is no mini or max limit for the number of shares.

If they have introduced a new rule let us know the link.
