The publisher of business magazine LMD, Media Services announced that it is working on a coffee-table book showcasing Sri Lanka’s Heritage Companies. The 160-plus page publication will be printed in Hong Kong, and it will profile some of the longstanding corporate houses in this country.
Slated for release in August this year, Media Services says that the unique publication will feature articles on Sri Lanka’s corporate heritage and profiles of some of the most revered businesses in the land. “We will also track their milestones along the path to success over the last 50 years and more,” a press release states. A spokesperson for LMD says: “We expect to profile some of the most innovative Sri Lankan corporations, and to go behind the scenes and unearth their formula for both survival and success.” She adds: “We will also ask their CEOs about future plans, keeping sustainability and the prevailing global order in mind.”
LMD’s Heritage List will cover a wide spectrum of corporations, including some of the state sector’s leading lights. The premium-quality, limited edition publication will be retailed at Rs. 6,000, in addition to being distributed to LMD’s “A-List companies” that are featured in its annual publications – such as the LMD 100, Most Respected and Brands Annual.
Media Services also published the popular lifestyle magazine Living, the Living Colombo Guide and a business magazine for Sinhala-speaking working people (Dirimaga). It also presents Benchmark, the business show for TV. Visit www.LMD.lk for more information about LMD.
