I've tried day trading but i've seldom being successful.... Pls share your ideas and thoughts on day trading, and also mention those stocks which are ideal for day trading (if it could be told)... thanx Smile

tips that I can give,
if you are a newbie, learn things yourself first. study the patterns and the stocks.
don't jump into day trading when you're too new to the market. for the moment stick to investing.

pavement hawkers in pettah know who will be their customers. have their own selling strategy. know their seasons. they were not successful on the 1st day itself.

Yes,

Please do not jump into day trading. you might burn your finger.
In fact, I feel investing in value stocks and being patient gives you more return.

What do you guys think ?

Friend be careful about the day trading, because sometimes yes day trading used to bring the profits but on most times its bring negative results as well

These 2 shares i took as a example of day trading where most of them burn there hand ( in my opinion ) LHCL & SUGA somehow the news leaked to somebody and lots of people bought at considerably high prices, but in the LHCL case the investor play the safe game and refrain from passing the 30% mark, in the Suga case they passed the mark very well and mandatory offer came at 27.50 ( the price paid by the Subsidiary of DIST ).

For day trading you can't pre determine the shares, its based on the particular day, so learn the market and if you think you can decided whats going to happen on that particular day then go for the day trading but be careful, because if u missed a chance you will not lose the capital but only the profit you could have earned it, but if you execute at the wrong time you will lose the capital also.

*normally traders use liquid shares,but if there is big gap between ask price and bid price in illiquid shares,it's a chance for some quick bugs.......
*some investors don't like to see their stock prices to fall down,so if a person be panic and filled your bid order at low price,those investors normally pick the price up by filling the best ask price,so at the end of the day normally share price close at previous heights or a good price more than day's lowest...
*if you want to know such examples i can give you many.........

*trade liquid shares(you can get off anytime with less damage,if things go wrong)
*don't be caught in emotional mind traps(hope,fear,greed)
*study the trading patterns
*study the fundamentals of trading stock(you can keep it,if thing go wrong)
*do your homework(analysis)
*don't follow the crowd aggressively,specially stocks with less fundamentals(THEN YOU MAY BUY AT PEAK IN RALLY)...
