When will happen the Plantation Sector Rally..???
Most of the sector getting warm now to run.. but still plantation and Hotel sector..
we can expect some strong buy site from tomorrow...So DARK GREEN may be confirm..
if it is like that then plantation also will get warm from that HOT??

Tea is making bit of profit but compared to Rubber margin is pretty low. This quarter Rubber had a set back with low prices. RSS avg price is Rs330-350 these days. Rubber production has been reduced by companies. You should talk to people in the plantation business not your broker! Coming colors ne good.

you can compare tea prices for last 3 years. If you really consider the current prices are well above the last year first six month prices. It is around Rs 70 to 100 increment if i am not mistaken. I have the excel sheet done but i am waiting to get the April prices since it is not available yet.

Plantations like MADU BALA MASK and BOPL will be benefit a lot. As we discussed earlier MPRH also good due to less no. of shares available. The cash flows of above mentioned companies were very strong in the last 3 months ended 3st December 2012.

Even we may see couple of dividend announcements from unfamiliar. companies. Feel this is a good time to think about Dog type less reputed companies such as LEDV and also MAL. But as far as i know MAL ownership does not want to hike the prices.

Any way.....wait till latest reports available. Then again wait till the correct time comes like what happen to reef W from 2.50 to 4.00.

Chinawi might have lot of info. to add under plantation stocks.

I am surprised there was no rally already like in 2011. This should have happened few months back.I think people thought about the cost factors few quarters before it actually happens. If there is a rally its kind of late. However this sector deserves it since shares are undervalued big time. Future uncertainties are the only issue.

This news item which I also saw "12,500 youth to get ‘unused’ plantation lands" is bit disturbing. This sounds more like the infamous "Expropriation bill". It comes under the guise of giving land to the unemployed youth but I am sure its to distribute among their supporters and kith and kin. Also from what I know GOVT owes big time to some constructing companies and contractors who supply to the GOVT. The GOVT is trying to give land to settle the dues by giving land. This I confirmed from a major supplier of food to GOVT departments. He says GOVT big guys saying they are cash strapped and got no money. So its like a Barter system with no money involved Smile

Hope they will not make a mess of this and scare the investors. If it happens there will be no plantation or any rally. I hope they will have a proper system to identify and allocate land.

Last quarter TPL EPS around Rs 5.00.
This year first quater also have abouve Rs 5.00

It is trading very very low price at Rs 25.00
After it released there result it may break rs 35
