TWOD or Maloneys intended purchase of CIFL implications

March 31st sunday times " CIFL Chairman Lakshman Rupasinghe told the Business Times. He said a board meeting will be held tomorrow approving the deal with the new investors"

Was this board meeting ever held? and if this deal goes ahead with the blessing of the central bank what are the implications for twod and cifl.....a cash infusion to cifl can have benefits. is this infusion from maloney and some private investors or directly from twod ?

is any one familiar with all of this ?

Why has the board meeting not taken place ?

There was a clarification letter sent to CIFL and an answer was published,

Thanks hawk eye !!! well it' serious if it was to mislead the public. he has also dragged the central bank in to it so there must be something in it unless he is really stupid. what concerns me is how he says that maloney has bought aspic group and the central bank has given approval. also he says board meeting " tomorrow " 1st April? unless it was an April fools joke Smile

Other than that there is a staunch silence from central bank and twood side.....if central bank was false implicated the CID would immediately arrest the people making false claims .

Maloney and twood too are not denying the rumours ? so something must be really happening. But how can twood afford this purchase ? unless all there treees have started maturing suddenly and have started giving huge returns Smile
