profits of the major players were down and only very few knows that this is only a short term issue.

Now the interest rates starts to come down banks are in a position to improve their margins for sure during this financial year.

can expect panic selling today morning get ready to grab the opportunity.

i still dnt understand why cbsl want to keep rates down by enforce,let them to go free and understand the reality Smile

Short term gainers clean out their bank portfolio in this week while mid to long term investors grab that opportunity. The measurement of first quarter results do not reflect the performance of whole year & many are mislead. However, number of banks being operated in the country are in competitive environment & substantial contribution to the bottom line from further expansion is very unlikely other than the newly innovated, diversified business activities.
