Hi Friends..

For the last couple of days there was a slight up trend for CDB. Is it because people with insider info get out of t before the results or people started collecting hoping for a better dividend. I don't think their 12/13 results will be bad . What you guys think??? Pls share your views..
I'm holding some qty for the last year or so...
Thanks

Last dividend was Rs 2.5 ( cash + script) , Even if they have a not so great quarter they can easily give the same dividend

There was a collection from Rs 44 to 47 . But after Rs 47 no big move yet but let see whether it happens soon.

CDB was trading higher than NTB/SEYB in 2010/2012 . NAV will also be over Rs 50 soon.

both trading below the Rights issue prices, done in 2011.

Issue Price: - Rs.70/- (Voting)
Issue Price: - Rs.45/- (Non - Voting)

Both very attractive.

CDB.X was at Rs 30 when CDB was Rs 43
CDB.X now Rs 37.5 ( 25% increase) and CDB.N is still Rs 49.

CDB.X only abou 20% closer to Right price,

CDB.N I think there is mismatch.

Also they might give .X as a script dividend again.

CDB.X running faster as there are few shares but..

If you trading what do you think you exit point is Gaja.

Today drop was due as CDB was in the higher RSI and was running for fee days slowly. But this is still trading at BV of 1.

I have around 3K shares with the approximate cost 35/= per share, still not think about disposing it since i hold this as a long term investment.

For trading my target is 8 to 12% premium of the TB Interest if its over and above 6 months, however if i get 10% return within the month i exit immediately.

i allocate 65 to 70% for investment and maximum of 35% for trading, and never do the trading on credit

Good strategy.

At one point I had CDB at high price from 2011. But I bought at Rs 29+ and kept averaging. My average is much higher than your but at this time in profit.

We can expect a dividend of atleast R2 or maybe even Rs 3. So CDB is okay long term . Also it has some CINS in its portfolio.

I will keep this mostly for long term except for a small trading I do.

Anyone interested ( who is looking at investment and not short term issues)

Compared to Market
Pe of 17 , CDB is about 4
BV of 2.4 it is 1.

Dividend yield 5-6%.

Thanks Gaja for the much worthy advice. My unrealized gain is 9%. I also have same no of shares u have. But I feel like waiting for possible dividend. Slstock we'll wait and see.....

my analysis on is based on the following premise,

when there is voting and non voting share of the same company, both should trade at least at their book value (NAV/PS), A 10-15% discount can be given to the X, if the N is trading above the book value. (I.e. the company is Fundamentally strong profitable entity.

CDB.X trading at 0.75 of Book value, and a PE of just 3 times. My expected price for X is at least Rs.50/- , when CDB.N reaches 70, X will reach 50 easily

I do not trade as im not a technical expert and also I do not have any connection with price pushers. I just go on Fundamentals. I take a long term view, with a holding period of one year.

I apply the same theory for other shares also and for me I find TKYO.X, RHL.X more attractive than the voting.

Also when CDB declared rights few years ago,

N was at Rs 70
X was Rs 45.

So I see no issue with your theory and rationale longer term.

CDB.X and RHL.X tend to trade at about 70% of N.

Interesting to note RHLN was once at Rs 80 while CDB.N was around RS 105.

One would have thought CDB to be around Rs 60 by now. When last time ASI dropped to 6000 ( from top) CDB was around Rs 60 if I recall. Now ASI 6500 and CDB NAV has improved by 20% ( during the time) and a dividend should be on the way. Also CINS shares in its portfolio is over Rs 1000.

Not so much interest yet.

There was some interest when the trading begins, it gone, am waiting for the March results to see the Provision, before making further purchases!
