When did you buy Shocked ? You must have bought them in the peak. Mad

I don't know why this isn't moving. Anyway, there is hardly any move in the banking sector shares these days.

But for Seylan, if the price does not appreciate within next week, they will encounter a serious issue in executing the rights issue successfully unless they have made pre-arrangement with someone to subscribe for their rights in the event of a failure.

If COMB, SAMP & HNB do not show a positive trend sooner ordinary investors keep such shares away from their portfolio in the future.

It is the same concept with SEYLAN. Over six months SYELAN has not shown an incremental value for ordinary investors & keeping them in frustration.Negative image of such shares keep the ordinary investors away from banking sector unless there is a practical remedy for this situation asap.

Good Luck

At the start of this year only thing my broker said Seylan.. Seyaln.. nothing else came out of his mouth... Very Happy
Then I bought... After collected, still its going down and down...
Right issue is coming and some documents also received yesterday and I ddn't check even... little difference between current share prices and right issue price... collecting some more at the current price is better than wasting time and money to fill applications and send to collect rights... No

This is purely just a suggestion.

If I have SEYB or SEYBX shares I would not invest more money to subscribe rights.

Say if I have 4000 shares, I would sell 1000 and find money to subscribe the rights.

Yes . Refer this news item below .

" The share issue was subscribed by prominent institutional investors and high net worth individuals. Bank of Ceylon, the People's Bank and the Seylan Bank have become key shareholders. "
