3 shares I hold are on the New high list.

Except 1 share ( guess) other 2 are trading very much below the all time high. I think all of them may not have even started the real run with new valuations.

June 04, 2013 (LBT) - Indices consolidated further: The Colombo Bourse further continued its volatile path today on a much wider 30 points band. At the end of the day ASPI closed flat at 6,499.66 with a marginal loss of 0.03%. Gains recorded on Chevron Lubricants (+6.0%) and Commercial Bank (+1.6%) weighted positively on the index. However losses denoted on John Keells Holdings (-0.6%) and The Good Hope (-13.7%) held the index on marginal grounds.

Commercial Bank uplifting the daily turnover: Commercial bank dominated the crossing board where the counter transacted three off-board blocks totaling 2.9mn shares at a price of LKR125.0. Active on-board interest was also seen in the counter where it appreciated by 1.6% at the close of the day. Haycarb too recorded a single off-board block of 300k shares at a price dealt at LKR200.0

Chevron Lubricants extending the prolonged rally: Interestingly, the high dividend payer Chevron Lubricants notably appreciated in price with strong on-board volume today, prolonging its extended rally. LLUB closed at LKR365.9 with a gain of 6.0%. John Keells Holdings continued its slide today depicting the highest on-board turnover for the day. The counter witnessed a single large on- board block of 60k shares which was transacted at LKR282.50. JKH settled at LKR281.7 with a dip of 0.6%. Dormant retail activity: Retailer activity was minimum and concentrated on some selected stocks such as Nation Lanka Finance, Commercial Credit and Finance and Abans Finance.
