A Moringa Plantations Company introduced their unique concept of Moringa Plantation at the Inco exibition BMICH last week.

I am not connected to them or do not have any idea about this.
I just wanted to give you info. This is not a paid commercial.

They say, cultivating Murunga in Hambatota and you can pay 700,000/- and buy 40 pech land lots. They will plant, manage and cash the harvest for you. ( No need to explain , I think all know this concept.. )

I hope no one will oppose me for publishing their leaflet.

today murunga(drumsticks) price is rs.100 kg in the market.

it is better to buy 10 acre land in remote area and cultivate murunga. 10m per annum

Available market ( as Salt mentioned) , over supply & price, past experience with similar kinds of projects etc .

සමහර වගාවන් තියෙනවා mass scale එක යායට වැවීම දිගුකාලීනව අපහසු , අසාර්ථක හා අවදානම්.

ගසේ අරටුව ඉතා මෘදු මුරුංග වගේ ගස් එක යායට වවන එක අවදානම් විය හැකියි .
වියලි කලාපයේ වැටවල් වල මුරුංග තියෙනවා / වවනවා .
මාර්තු , අගෝස්තු ආදී සුළං කාල වල අනිවාර්යයෙන් එන සුළඟට අසු උනාම අත්තක් දෙකක් කැඩිලා ලොකු අතු හා කඳ වැටේ ඉතුරු වෙනවා .

There was a project by a sri lankan company to grow Murunga in large scale for water purification, Koreans have the technology, but our government did not extend the support.

Murunga seeds tossed into water is the cheapest water purification method in the world by far. Its being promoted in Africa that has severe drinking water issues.
Nothing to do with the feasibility of the above project of course.

So this company has chosen the ideal location to set up their project, where Water is an issue (and not forgetting that you can cheat masses and get away scot-free too, like after the Tsunami ). Very Happy

Do they buy the harvest after cultivation? In sri lanka Most difficult part is selling the harvest. Most farmers such as vegetables, fruit, potato suffered lot when they are going to sell their harvest.

Last week a woman wearing a saree and a man came to office and said sandlewood investment or similar and I told them to get out. Dont know what the company was. Touchwood is also doing marketing since I got a call saying new investment and can get return within 5 years from now. All are scammers.
