1.It create rift among ruling parties leading to political instability.
2.It could damage good relationship with India
3.It threatens the lasting peace of Sri Lanka.
I think these reasons create panic among long term investors and foreign funds.

we new there would be lot of people waiting to exit when the ASI hits certain barriers. Now we need to wait patiently until solid support is reached.
there is a lot going on in the world markets, specially in the US. All these does have an impact
