CDB has good value as shown by the june Q,
Interest income has gone up 62%
so it deserves appreciation Irrespective of CINS.

@ Harry,
CINS_CB relation must be otherway round. CDB hold 560k CINS which give massive revaluation surplus. That s Y CDb assets dramatically gone up.

@path
No matter how interest income has gone up- the matter is how profit before tax had gone up. It is decreasing for qtr to qtr. It worries me.

GK committee looking for laith kotakaweka assets, beside CINS big stake, Lilith kotakawela holds significant stake through a company launched by him ( e soft or c soft nearly 15%)

Most financial institutions report higher earnings in 4th quarter. Same with CDB. Might not be prudent to compare 4th quarter with 1st.

Usual practise to compare a Qtr with last year's corresponding Qtr Smile

Yes. You are right.

If you are so keen to see the trend in the financial sector you should look into the qtr trend. If you look into the annual performance only then you may miss early exit..

By looking annual performance you can eliminate cyclic performance of business nature..(plantation and hotel sector)
