The 5 crossings added 49% to the day’s turnover.
Counters which released earnings today gathered interest: Tokyo Cement Voting and Non-Voting gathered interest followed by its earnings release which denoted strong net earnings growth as each closed up 11.8% and 9.7% respectively. Notable buying interest was seen in Commercial Bank Voting and Non-Voting. Activity in the former heightened after a block of 107k shares was picked on-board at LKR119.5. Expo Lanka Holdings continued to gather interest as it closed with a gain of 2.8% at LKR7.4. Moderate retail activity: Retail activity was moderate and surrounded Tokyo Cement [Non-Voting], Expo Lanka Holdings, Panasian Power and Nation Lanka Finance.
