On the above news, both have quickly dismissed any possible talks.
But, NDB statement sense some grounds
I guess talks are going and it will be a good catch if it comes at better price
A strategic fit in NDB's core strength in investment banking too

if anyone knows anything more, floor is open here

there were a lot of buying yesterday for UBC with the hope that the merger will come about.but now for those buyers it is disappointing

UBC should go up significantly in the short term if it goes through (since the price they are negotiating is 22-24 and it is currently trading at 17, NDB in the long term (if they turn UBC into a very profitable organization)
