I bought PABC at 54 month low at 15.40 couple of weeks back and it went to 17. I think this will have some movement given that dividend is coming up. I will not wait for the dividend if the price is right for me since still not confident of their performance to hold mid to long term. Also funny feeling that they might go for a rights issue. Dont want that.

The directors milked the cow and exited in a big way. Now the cow have to meet the capital adequacy requirements of Central Bank. How can that be done? Rights issue at some point..?

Do your research on this counter carefully pls....
My intention is not to hurt anybody...
I am simply sick of this kind of practices in CSE..

PABC does not need to go for a rights as they could resort to a Debenture Issue with the least amount of hassle.

Don't you read newspaper and cse anouncement to know the reason why banks want to merge

Of course I read papers. I think you refer this to a possible merger NDB/DFCC. It does't mean all the banks should or will merge.

PABC needs to increase their capital to 5Bn by end 2015 as per CBSL directive in 2010 - Sept, as I remember

Now total equity 4.1 Bn. How are they going to achieve this target?

Good question. Keeping that in mind, when someone pays dividend what gets reduced? Thinking about that can someone guess whether paying Rs1 as dividend is a practical move. Also have a look at capital adequacy ratios of Sep accounts to see where its heading.
