Yest FED for second time reduce bond buying. Interest rates are hiking in many countries (including India) and we saw some bonds sales in SL last week. It may get activated after the dec and Rs may go for dip in short run. Trade cautiously next few days as CSE may sooner or later has to follow suit in some way. Need to watch closely foreign activity.

Wasn't this Fed decision expected ? World markets reacted to it last friday to monday.

Today drop in US was about 1%.

Yes there could be some short term worry but further massive dips or funds withdrawing majorily from CSE may not be the case. CSE has major foreign investment in on a handful of shares. Even if they sell and if another foriegn fund buys the outflow won;t be seen.

However SPEN foreign selling on large scale has been a concern I must say.

So far JKH, HNB,COMB,DFCC etc seems to be holding it ground.

Let see. On a positive note , CSE being so small, can have a separate life of its own not responding major volatility in world markets.

Okay want to compare CSE size ?

Whole CSE worth is Rs 2.6 Trillion presently. That only $20 billion!

Btw there are about 20 reported Billionaires in the world who can buy CSE totally and just forget it ( hypothetically) . They will still have money left to spend to live comfortably not dependent on CSE.

Maybe there are some people in Sri Lanka ( unofficial) who can buy CSE totally ;-) "
