pls see the lbo article today about delisting of popular and very old oil palm firms.


this is a sad news.

this minimum float rule  will lead to delisting of many well managed popular  firms.

I think it is wiser if this rule is relaxed so that it  applies to future new listings  , exempting already listed firms.
any ideas ?

What's the problem? The CARS babies were overpriced and illiquid and only gave a small dividend yield.
Even if lbo thinks they are well managed better that they are de-listed without messing up the index. A company trading a few 1000 shares a year is pointless being listed in a stock exchange it should be a private company.
