Sri Lanka hosted its first international fund mangers conference way back in 1998, when the country was going through a separatist war.
The organizers expect to attract at least 75 international fund managers to the forum.
The forum is part of a series of activities planned by the SEC and the CSE during this year to attract foreign funds to the local equity market.
The two institutions recently concluded a successful investor forum in London. Such events were also held in Mumbai, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong during last year.
The opening remarks of the forum will be delivered by SEC Chairman Dr. Nalaka Godahewa. Terausry Secretary Dr.P.B Jayasundara, Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal and Senior Minister of International Monetary Corporation and Deputy Finance Minister Sarath Amunigama are also expected to address the gathering.
