may be I din't follow in my watch list ..but illiquid stocks are moving now a days..

EQIT 28/= to 41/=
COMD 70/= to 90/=
PDL 85/= to 125/=

any other stock you noticed guys ???

but CLPL.N still in 60/= level...

You are right my friend.

There are illiquid stocks in sectors such as banking and finance, manufacturing, plantations, hotels, motors, chemicals, and investments trusts etc. They too will have strong activities and more trading in the coming weeks and months when we see strong market couple with possible higher earnings reports in the current quarter from Banking, plantations, Hotel , constructing, power and food and beverages etc. We see more tourists, banking activities, construction, generating more hydro power, more consumption of food, more tea output, more fertilizer using etc. Finally we saw more rain as well. Not drought as some predicted.

Didn’t you notice gradual improvement in illiquid stocks with large parcel trading time to time? For example Stocks such as SUN, HOPL, AGAL, PARQ were not that liquid. Now their liquidly has improved.

Protection Against weak Stocks.

Some Stocks show protection against other weaker stocks when we include in our portfolios. AMF      (associated Motor Finance Company)   is such a stock in the CSE I observed for three yrs in my portfolio .The trait of these particular stocks are Illiquid, the price is normally high. When the time, other Stocks go down in the market,   these stocks try to go up. When other stocks go up  this particular stocks go down. The Price increased Rs. 340.3 to Rs. 360.00 & loss decreased to -10.6% . In this period ASI goes up. That means other shares are gone up. Other important thing is,  these kind of Shares get sufficient dividend annually .

KVAL IS up by more than 6% today. Another illiquid stock to watch in the plantation group is MPRH.
