If we go by market PE ,sector PE what are the most under valued shares in each sector? If we can consider PBV too according to latest financials .If potential earnings could be justified due to change in business model ,new takeovers ,divestments ,finance cost reduction due to lower interest rate.That will also be considered.

Manufactering
Hotel
Land and property
Investments and trusts
Food and beverages

Best under value share in Diversified sector is

BIL (Browns Investment LTD)

Trading at market at very low price comapered to its NAV after evn right issue.

Potential erning is attractive with new leverage after 100% pay off it debt from the mony collected from right isse and more than 70% represents the Plantation sector that will be so attractive in next few quarters. Structure of the protfolio has been changed with selling the loss making unit (Porcelain) which will improve the grop performances.

Recently one valuable member posted a valuation guide in this forum prepared by a leading broker in Sri-Lanka. According to it number one undervalue sector is plantation sector having P/E around 6 by 13th August 2014. Almost all tea stocks and stocks exposure to tea are undervalued now. Now I am studying some stocks in the market.

Following sectors also are trading in a lower P/E ratio. There are value stocks in other sectors as well.

Chemical and pharmaceutical
Bank and Finance
Motors
Health care
Land and property
Power and energy

On valuations value stocks should go up in a major uptrend. Some stocks will become more valuable when we see attractive earnings in the coming quarters. In short this market has plenty of value stocks. It is time to identify future winners. Good luck
