parkons made a big mistake in buying Odel at a overvalued price even though they made a marginal capital gain out of it(Comparatively very small for holding more than 2 years).
Will softlogic will get hit on this transaction ?Even though I am very optimistic about SHL I guess Odel share price is overvalued.If SHL to sell ODEL ,no one will buy it, even OTARA.

See the issue here is we need to See the market in Sri Lanka for ODEL products then and now. The success period of ODEL was during the early days, then they became over ambitious, Every Business in this nature has a Limit of Expansion with the City Population and Competition. And also the accessibility to the same products in other locations or nearby Countries, Have you seen the SHL other outlets? and their traffic? the key is the people who like branded stuff like this travel all the time out of SL for closer countries where the Same brand is available at a Cheaper price with a ultimate shopping experience which is important to them. So will ODEL be able to provide that experience? If you see their outlets in other cities or towns you will realize how was their expansion ideas and knowledge, it was a failure.

During the last few years Otara ddnt manage ODEL properly.
softlogic is a brand king.
With ODEL and brands owned by softlogic , tourism
ODEL definately has a future.
